Relax

Turiec region provides wide opportunities for active or passive relax. There is a spa Turčianske Teplice in our region, just several kilometers from geographical centre of Europe. The spa belong to the oldest and the most popular in Europe as ideal place for relax, regeneration and cure. The first written record about the spa is from 1281 year. The base for cure are hot and curative springs with temperature 40,7-46,5 C. The water is very effective at disorders of the motion organism and back-bone, kidney and urine ways diseases, neurologic and also gynaecological disorders. The water is succesfully used for drinking cures, too. Just at the spa buildings there is a large and very nice park, where is aquapark opened whole the year together with wellness spa centre. There is also a thermal swimming pool Vieska in Turčianske Terplice which is on disposal in summer time.
The forests of Turiec region are very rich in forest berries and mainly mashrooms. In summer months and in autumn the forests are full of mashrooms as well as mashroom-pickers for example in surroundings of the villages Dubové, Budiš, Rakša, Turček (where you can find the mashrooms you see in the pictures).
